Recruiting Help Is Here!

In today’s labor market it is more difficult than ever to find new team members. Agency owners know they need help, but they either do not know where to start or their normal processes aren’t working like they used to. We are happy to share our most successful recruiting sources.

Referrals from your clients and current team members can be great a great resource for finding candidates. You could offer a ‘referral reward’ and use social media, email, and conversations to drive quality candidates to your office.

Indeed – Our most successful source of finding candidates is through Indeed. You can post a job on Indeed for free. We recommend setting up Indeed Resume Alerts at https://www.indeed.com/resumes with the following keywords:

Sales, Marketing, Management, Retail, Insurance, P&C, Property and Casualty, Personal Lines, Allstate, State Farm, Farmers, American Family, etc. … You should have at least 10 different alerts created for best results.

Simply search for the keywords above in your city, click the “Find Resumes” button, then when you see the search results click the “Get new resumes for this search by email” hyperlink above the search results to start getting your daily alerts.

You can send emails through Indeed to any candidate you find while searching through resumes or from the daily email alerts by purchasing one of Indeed’s contact subscriptions. Keep your original email short and to the point.

Recruiting FirmsDon’t have the time or desire to recruit? Using a recruiting company may be just what you need. We recommend Team Hired teamhired.com.

Social Media – Create your own hiring video or graphic and share it on your business social media pages and personal pages. Make sure you ask your network to share it as well. You could also post in any local social media groups like neighborhood groups and/or groups with common interests.

Learning Facilities – Reach out to any colleges, universities, vocational, or trade schools near you that would promote your position or allow you to post on their job board.

Now Hiring Signs – If your agency is in high traffic area something as simple as a “NOW HIRING” yard sign can attract candidates. You can also have a large banner to hang on your building if you need something that has a larger font for those driving by.

Hiring GraphicsHaving a catchy picture associated with your social media posts will draw more attention. Our favorite place to make graphics is Canva. There are many free apps you can use to create social media and print hiring materials.

We love using VIDEOS to post in our agency’s Facebook page which our team members, customers, friends, and family can share with others.
